Guru Gorakshnath Institute of Medical Sciences

Established in 2021, Guru Gorakshnath Institute of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Ayurveda, is an emerging center of excellence in Ayurvedic education, research, and healthcare. As a constituent unit of Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, the institute is dedicated to advancing the time-honored principles of Ayurveda while addressing the healthcare needs of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and beyond. Nestled within an expansive, thoughtfully designed campus, the institute features modern, multilevel academic buildings equipped with ICT-enabled classrooms, a central library, and a comprehensive digital library, all designed to support an engaging and future-focused academic environment.
The institute currently offers Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) – with an annual intake of 100 students and Ph.D. programs in Ayurveda – encouraging advanced research and scholarly excellence. The academic programs are closely integrated with the institute’s clinical counterpart, Mahant Digvijaynath Ayurveda Hospital—a state-of-the-art healthcare facility that delivers affordable, authentic, and holistic Ayurvedic care. Committed to the spirit of selfless service, the hospital combines modern amenities with the foundational values of Ayurveda to provide compassionate and effective treatment to the community. To promote academic discourse and interdisciplinary collaboration, the institute actively organizes conferences and scholarly events. Notably, it hosted its first International Conference on Ayur-Yoga-Nathpanth from 12th to 14th January 2025, attracting scholars and practitioners from across the globe. Building on this momentum, the institute is preparing to host another International Conference on Integrative Medicine in October 2025. Additionally, two national conferences—Sukhayu 2023 and Hitayu 2024—were successfully organized on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti (Ayurveda Day), highlighting key developments and innovations in the field.

Mahayogi Gorakhnath Univerisity Gorakhpur

Mahayogi Gorakhnath University was established in 2021 through the divine inspiration and blessings of Shiva Avatar Mahayogi Guru Gorakshanath Ji, and in honor of the vision and commitment of revered saints—Brahmaleen Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and Brahmaleen Mahant Avaidyanath Ji Maharaj—who dedicated their lives to the advancement of education. With the dynamic leadership of the present Peethadheeshwar of Gorakshapeeth and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji, the university was founded with a mission to offer quality education and integrated services across a wide range of disciplines, including Ayurveda, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Agriculture, Allied Health Sciences, Paramedical Sciences, Management and more. Mahayogi Gorakhnath University stands as a beacon of holistic education, rooted in cultural values and committed to the development of society through knowledge, research, and service.
